Wondering how we're going to be successful in opposing the most powerful political machine on the planet? The same way people have always done it: with savvy grassroots organizing tactics, deep commitment to values, and a dash of creative, outside-the-box thinking. That's how Americans took control of their destiny in 1776, and that's how we're going to do it again. Luckily, there are a lot of very smart, experienced, determined people working on ways to make this happen. This month a group of progressive Harvard grad students launched the Resistance School, a free, online practical training program. This four-part course is designed to sharpen the tools we need to fight for change through concrete learning, community engagement, and forward-looking action. As our Action Plan this week, American Resistance Sevilla is inviting everyone to take this course. We're screening Session One on Wednesday, May 3, at noon (contact us for details). If that date and time aren't convenient for you, stream it here to watch on your own or, better yet, gather a group of friends to view it with you. Let us know if you'd like to host a group; we'll post upcoming screenings on our Resistance Calendar. Together we’ll learn how to:

THE RESISTANCE WANTS YOU TO JOIN US FOR DRINKS IN CELEBRATION OF SURVIVING THE FIRST 100 DAYS OF THE NEW PRESIDENCY (AND WHAT A WILD 100 DAYS IT'S BEEN!) Thursday, April 27, 9 PM Merchant Pub, Calle Canalejas, 12, Sevilla Free Tapas while they last 50-State Challenge; bring a friend from another state Chance to Win a Pink Pussy Hat in our raffle And a discussion of how we’re keeping up the good work this summer here in Seville, back in the US, and wherever Resisters are traveling RSVP on Facebook (But just showing up at the last minute is fine too!) We welcome men and women of all nations to stand with us against the madness. Until we see the President’s tax returns, we are all in the dark about his conflicts of interest, his foreign entanglements, and whether he even pays any taxes at all. On April 15, outraged taxpayers are taking to the streets in 130 American cities. But with tax day falling during Semana Santa, that's just not possible here in Sevilla. So we’re launching the world's first Virtual Tax March, posting photos on social media demanding — in a phrase borrowed from Jerry McGuire — "Show me the money!" 1. Take a selfie with our downloadable "SHOW ME THE MONEY" sign. Or make your own sign with a similar message. Feel free to wear a pink pussy hat, a Resistance t-shirt, your Halloween costume, or anything else that will add fun and drama. 2. Post your photo on social media. Change your privacy settings to public so you can be seen by a wider audience and people can share your protest post. Twitter & Instagram We suggest including these handles & hashtags: @realdonaldtrump @HouseGOP @SenateGOP @SevillaResist #VirtualTaxMarch #TaxMarch #AmericanResistanceSevilla #ExpatsVote #Expats #Resist #YOUR STATE (i.e. California) #YOUR LOCATION (i.e., Sevilla) Post your photo on your personal page and tag us at @americanresistancesevilla. Possible post wording: This is [YOUR NAME] in [YOUR CITY] joining Resisters around the world in demanding the President release his tax returns on #TaxDay. Join us in this #VirtualTaxMarch! For more information: www.AmericanResistanceSevilla.com See sample posts. 3. Invite friends to join in. This is everyone's problem! We're encouraging people all over the world to join in. Reach out to 10 friends and suggest they reach out to 10 of their friends. Then take your sign around town and photograph it with people you know, strangers on the street, your pets, city landmarks, whatever strikes your fancy. Find us on taxmarch.org. Every picture you post is going to really, really annoy the President, especially on his home turf of Twitter. So get busy! Americans are taking to the streets to demand the president reveal his tax returns. Here in Seville, we’re taking to the bars. American Resistance Abroad and Students Abroad in Solidarity invite you to a Pub Crawl that's part of the #VirtualTaxMarch, in which people all over the world are posting photos of themselves and others demanding of the president, “Show me the money!” Join us for an evening of visiting our favorite pubs, taverns, and dive bars, where we’ll ask like-minded American visitors to pose for us with the sign. Afterwards, you’ll post the best shots on your social media and ours. See AmericanResistanceSevilla.com for details. Meet up at 9:00 PM, April 4, in Plaza de la Alfalfa near the kiosks. If you’re late or lost, just Tweet us @SevillaResist. We’ll likely split into smaller groups to roam the city then rendezvous at midnight. Prizes will be awarded for MOST CREATIVE PHOTO and MOST ICONIC SEVILLE BACKDROP. Come out and raise a glass for the cause. Remember, every photo you post will really, really annoy the president. And will show your support for those marching and posting around the world. Cheers!
