Do you hear what I hear?

I have hearing loss. I’m not deaf, but I have to really concentrate to distinguish between important stuff and background noise. It’s exhausting. 

This is a familiar sensation for all of us who are trying to make sense of the political environment. What is important? What is MORE important? 

For instance, this news about the newly-appointed National Park Service deputy director would merit an outraged email, but it has been drowned out by the Big Nuclear Button and the Very Stable Genius. 

There is a LOT of noise out there.
