Should he stay or should he go? Either way, one of the strongest progressive voices in the Senate has been effectively strangled.

Meanwhile, the tax bill has rolled back from the House to the Senate, trailing the lint and hairballs that it picked up on the way in the form of abortion restrictions and the repeal of the Johnson Amendment.
